Chalet Heidi may just be the place you are looking for. Chalet Heidi
is owned, lived in, and run by us, Caroline & Mike and we would be
your hosts for your holiday. We speak English as we are from
Derbyshire, having lived and worked there for 16 years.
Situated at the foot of the Wilder Kaiser Mountains, Chalet Heidi is
a beautiful typical Tyrolean Chalet (imagine “chocolate box scenes”
of window boxes full of flowers in summer and “winter wonderland” in
winter and you’ve got the picture!) Our rooms are spacious, en-suite
and have balconies offering wonderful views of the surrounding
countryside.

Summer is a wonderful time to visit Austria – the temperatures are
higher than you might expect and often up in the 30s, you can enjoy
an active summer holiday and return with a sun-tan! The area is
incredibly well set up for holiday makers, with several open air
swimming pools, 14 mountain gondolas running, hundreds of miles of
walking and/or climbing routes marked out, and mountain bike routes
from the top of the mountain to the valley (the bikes go up on the
gondola!!) Close to Chalet Heidi are numerous other options
including; Golf, Paragliding, Ballooning, White-water rafting,
Canyoning, and scrambling. There are several picturesque towns to
visit, Kitzbuhl to name but one. Salzburg and Innsbruck are not far
and there are excursions to both from the village. |
In Winter, Chalet
Heidi’s guests ski in “Ski Welt”, Austria's largest ski resort. We
provide "Catered Chalet" accommodation which includes breakfast, tea
& cakes and a 5 course evening meal. We have a guests' lounge in
winter, where you can curl up in front of a log burning fire with a
welcome drink after a long day on the slopes and there is a guests’
kitchen where you can make yourself a cup of tea or coffee, we also
have a games room, fitness room and a sauna is planned for this
winter. More importantly - we have a bar!
To help your skiing holiday get off to a good start, we can arrange
flight transfers, ski hire, lift passes and ski school. As well as
this, we offer ski guiding, where we show you around our resort, and
we’ll help with children and beginners on the first day. |
