| 70th Anniversary Special - Honorary Membership Presentation | | Edna Hands alongside her late husband Keith - the Club’s founding-father - helped to steer the Nomad ship through countless good times over several decades. Edna’s personal contribution to the Nomads is immeasurable and in expressing her belief that Keith would be looking down proudly upon us enjoying the celebration, she gave all reason for everyone to feel an enormous sense of gratitude for the wonderful legacy he created. Harry Briggs’ contribution has made-a-difference without equal. His introduction of so many aspiring ramblers over a very long period, injected health and vitality into the Club. There is much to thank for his infectious enthusiasm. Life-long friendships and a number of successful Nomad marriages have resulted from Harry’s inspiration. He continues to spread his great love of the outdoors and his message of the valuable experience that Nomad life can offer.
